The Aoluguya hotel is the first top end hotel in Northern China that has a forest culture theme. The brand concepts and design inspiration for the theme came from the Ewenki nationality, the most distant and most mysterious ethnic minority in the north.
We first met with the project manager Mr. Wang in 2012, as they were looking for extra large sized modern bathtubs for their luxury hotel project.
Design Style
The design needed to express super luxury and elegance using nature as the inspiration. Our composite stone bathtub and bathroom sink with a matte finish was just the right product with the natural marble feeling attracting the designer’s eyes.
Unlike enamel’s cool feeling, solid surface is warm to the touch. As China’s furthest Northeastern province’s capital, Harbin’s winter temperatures usually reach minus 30 degrees centigrade similar to temperatures in Russia, so people there are keen to embrace warm things.
Per the hotel project manager’s knowledge, up until that time no other hotel in Harbin was so forward-thinking and had thought to install composite stone bathtubs. It would become a unique, fresh experience for guests when the project was complete.
Customized Extra Large Size Solid Surface Bathtubs
The hotel required a super big drop in the bathtubs and the original design even required a hydro jet system installed to turn it in to a massage bathtub. However, after considering the risks and difficulties to maintain and repair the water jets if needed after years of use, the designers and project managers finally waived the hydro equipment to make it as simple as possible.
There are 3 sizes of the drop in the bathtubs which are 1700x1000x470mm, 1800x1000x470mm and 2000x1000x470mm. Every bathtub was made with one time mold cast in our plant using premium quality acrylic solid surface material, then were sanded and packed up safely for 10 days transportation from Southern China to the furthest Northern city to the hotel building site.
Not only did the hotel order the drop in Stone baths, they also purchased 80pcs of freestanding
stone resin bathtubs (code 8611) to be installed in the hotel in different rooms.
The hotel project managers and designers loved its sleek design and vivid style.
Customized modern bathroom sinks were also used for this project.
After Sale Service
The bath ware procurement from us began in June 2014 and lasted up until Jan 2015, due to a snow storm and the New Year Holiday, these composite stone bath ware products were put to the side for a few months before installation.Almost 70% of baths in the guest rooms had already been stripped off their wooden crate packaging, which exposed them to the dusty space during the decoration period. When our technician was there in April 2015, he could not believe his eyes. There was thick dust on bathtubs even cutting deep scratches on some bathtubs and it was obvious that the project contractor had not protected the finely crafted stone bath ware properly.
Fortunately, it was not a lot of trouble for us, as we have even encountered more serious problems than this situation. With our fixing materials and instruction guide, workers there mastered how to fix and restore the scratched bath ware products within 3 days before we left.
It was the first time for the project manager to experience solid surface bathtubs and the damage caused. When the bathtubs were restored to their integrity and the patches disappeared, the baths became new again in front of him. He was amazed and he raised thumb to us,”Fantastic.”

As we write this article, this hotel has been open for more than 2 years. As a supplier of solid surface bathtubs and bathroom sinks, we have never encountered any complaints from project contractors regarding our products.
