Acrylic Solid Surface is the mixture of 43% Acrylic Resin, 56% Aluminum Tri-Hydrate Powder and 1% Pigments and Catalyst. There are two different types of stone resin bathtubs and sinks, which are “Acrylic Solid Surface Bathtub” and “Gel Coated Stone Resin Bathtub”.
There are three main differences between Acrylic Solid Surface Bathtub and Gel Coated Bathtub.
1. They have different base materials; Acrylic Solid Surface Bathtub has fine quality aluminum powder that has longer life span. Gel Coated Bathtub uses calcium powder which is not a durable substitute and going to be obsolete in few years.
2. Acrylic Solid Surface Bathtub could be matte or glossy depending on customers’ demand while Gel Coated Bathtub could be glossy only.
3. Acrylic Solid Surface Bathtub has same material for the entire products while Gel Coated Bathtub comes with a thin layer on the product which gives it glossy look. That layer wears out after a while and fix could be expensive.

Routine Care: You can simply use water with cleanser for routine maintenance and cleaning of the product. After cleaning, dry the product.

For more thorough cleansing or in case there are scratches on the surface, you can use abrasive pads and with each bathtub we also send an abrasive pad that you can use yourself.

Avoid all kind of petroleum based cleansing products as they can damage the surface. Hygienic products and cosmetics do not affect the outer surface of the bathware. You can also contact your local bathware services for help in case there is some damage you cannot fix yourself.
